Simply put, I fell in love. With the town, with my fellow teachers, with the students. It was a great opportunity for me to be immersed in a foreign culture, half a world away and yet feel very welcomed/at home.
The opportunity to teach kids a few english basics and the advanced speakers a few more intricate nuisances was intimidating at times but rewarding overall, especially when students would come up to me and use some english slang words/phrases <3
I was culturally, educationally and musically satisfied and would have been back again had the coronavirus not struck… until next time then I guess my friends!
